For the [remarkable, undeserved] grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to reject ungodliness and worldly (immoral) desires, and to live sensible, upright, and godly lives [with a purpose that reflect spiritual maturity] in this present age, awaiting and confidently expecting the [fulfillment of our] blessed hope and the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus. (Titus 2:11-13) Everything in our lives is centered around Jesus. A Christ-centered life has one ultimate goal: that Jesus gets the glory. Wanting Christ to be known, honored, worshipped, and obeyed, as we submit every other goal to Him.
Jesus prays that, “all may be one.” To be a follower of Jesus is to be a part of a greater whole. Just as You commissioned and sent Me into the world, I also have commissioned and sent them (believers) into the world. For their sake I sanctify Myself [to do Your will] so that they also may be sanctified [set apart, dedicated, made holy] in [Your] truth. (John 17:18-19) God is truth, and His truth brings salvation to all who accept.
In Him, you also, when you heard the word of truth, the good news of your salvation, and [as a result] believed in Him, were stamped with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit [the One promised by Christ] as owned and protected [by God].
The Spirit is the guarantee [the first installment, the pledge, a foretaste] of our inheritance until the redemption of God’s own [purchased] possession [His believers], to the praise of His glory. (Ephesians 1:13-14)
I do not pray for these alone [it is not for their sake only that I make this request], but also for [all] those who [will ever] believe and trust in Me through their message, that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me. (John 17:20-21)
For I want you to know, believers, that the gospel which was preached by me is not man’s gospel [it is not a human invention, patterned after any human concept]. For indeed, I did not receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a [direct] revelation of Jesus Christ. (Galatians 1:11-12)
And because of this we also continually give thanks to God, that, having received the word of God [by] your hearing from us, you accepted, not the word of men, but as it truly is, the word of God, who also works in you who believe. (1 Thessalonians 2:13) For you know how we were exhorting and encouraging and imploring each one of you just as a father does [in dealing with] his own children, [guiding you] to live lives [of honor, moral courage, and personal integrity] worthy of the God who [saves you and] calls you into His own kingdom and glory. (1 Thessalonians 2:11-12) It's not about religion but a relationship with Christ.
Not religious but spiritual, endowed, empowered, and enfused by the Holy Spirit. Not a christian, but a follower of Christ. We know that He is the only way, truth, and life. (John 14:6) Christ is the One who has taught us the way to live our lives. Through Him, we learn what absolute truth is. We believe in Him, trust, and obey. Whoever believes in Him will not perish but will have eternal life. (John 3:16) But I confess this to you, that according to the Way, which they call a [divisive and heretical] sect, I do worship and serve the God of our fathers, [confidently] believing everything that is in accordance with the Law [of Moses] and that is written in the Prophets;
having [the same] hope in God which these men cherish themselves, that there shall certainly be a resurrection of [the dead], both of the righteous and of the wicked. (Acts 24:14-15)
