Heaven and earth [as now known] will pass away, but My words will not pass away. (Matthew 14:35)
It will be health to our body [our marrow, our nerves, our sinews, our muscles—all our inner parts] And refreshment (physical well-being) to our bones. (Proverbs 3:8) Our daily bread provides us with the substance and spiritual nutrients we need. Christ is our daily bread, daily strength of the word, and daily provision over our lives. This is the Bread that comes down out of heaven so that one may eat of it and not die
He is the Living Bread that came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread [believes in Him, accepts Him as Savior], he will live forever. And the Bread that He will give for the life of the world is His flesh (body). (John 6:50-51) Christ is the bread that came down from heaven and will give life to the world. In Him, the Word became flesh. And the Word (Christ) became flesh, and lived among us; and we [actually] saw His glory, glory as belongs to the [One and] only begotten Son of the Father, [the Son who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, who is] full of grace and truth (absolutely free of deception) (John 1:14) But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the right [the authority, the privilege] to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in (adhere to, trust in, and rely on) His name--who were born, not of blood [natural conception], nor of the will of the flesh [physical impulse], nor of the will of man [that of a natural father], but of God [that is, a divine and supernatural birth--they are born of God--spiritually transformed, renewed, sanctified]. (John 1:12-13)
To those who have received and possess [by God’s will] a precious faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ: Grace and peace [that special sense of spiritual well-being] be multiplied to you in the [true, intimate] knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. Applying your diligence [to the divine promises, make every effort] in [exercising] your faith to, develop moral excellence, and in moral excellence, knowledge (insight, understanding), and in your knowledge, self-control, and in your self-control, steadfastness, and in your steadfastness, godliness, and in your godliness, brotherly affection, and in your brotherly affection, love [that is, learn to unselfishly seek the best for others and to do things for their benefit]. Be all the more diligent to make certain about His calling and choosing you [be sure that your behavior reflects and confirms your relationship with God]; for by doing these things [actively developing these virtues], you will never stumble in your spiritual growth. This is the entry into the eternal kingdom of our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ that will be abundantly provided to you.
Therefore, always keep and remind yourselves of these things, even though you already know them and are established in the truth which is held firmly in your grasp. (2 Peter 1:1-3,5-7,10-12) Continue in the things that you have learned and of which you are convinced [holding tightly to the truths], knowing from whom you learned them, and how from childhood you have known the sacred writings (Hebrew Scriptures) which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus [surrendering your entire self to Him and having absolute confidence in His wisdom, power and goodness].
All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]. (2 Timothy 3:14-16)
