Our heart through faith and the desire to do good deeds in thankfulness to God is accomplished only by God, the Holy Spirit. God the Son

who [willingly] gave Himself [to be crucified] on our behalf to redeem us and purchase our freedom from all wickedness, and to purify for Himself a chosen and very special people to be His own possession, who are enthusiastic for doing what is good. (Titus 2:14) God wants us to be eager to do good deeds for Him.

For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us. (Ephesians 2:10) God's children are called to "give glory" to our Father in heaven through our "good works." Our works allow us to let our light shine. We're called to be a light to the people around us.

Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 5:16) We let our light shine through the fruit we produce. Good deeds by our love for Christ shining our little light pointing to the "Divine Light," leading others to Him.

For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” is the One who has shone in our hearts to give us the Light of the knowledge of the glory and majesty of God [clearly revealed] in the face of Christ. (2 Corinthians 4:6) We are to proclaim the light, that light being Christ Jesus. So we proclaim the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. We embody the same light when we share God's light with others, directing them toward God's love, grace, mercy, peace, and daily provision for our lives. As we embody the fruits of the Spirit, we share His light.

The first fruit of the spirit is love. This is the one that enables people to develop other fruits.

Treating others with kindness, compassion, which can flow from a foundation of love.

Living by the Holy Spirit and being peace in one's life.

Being kind, tenderhearted, while also showing humility and thankfulness to God and being polite, compassionate and forgiving to others. Living a life displaying both inner-man and outer spiritual qualities.

Being full of joy from God can be light for others through difficult times and give them a Godly perspective through His word.

In faithfulness,

trusting and believing that with God, we all can overcome all circumstances of life because we aren't alone, but God is always near. He is able and willing to be a present help to us.

Being patient is a spiritual discipline that can lead to greater faith, hope, wisdom, and growth.
